We are nearly ready to go - with a couple of days left we are feeling pretty organized and sorted to take off again. It is getting easier and quicker to leave, and each time we are taking less and less stuff with us .... maybe by next year we'll be putting a t-shirt and some tic-tacs in a plastic bag and heading off!
Our itinary as follows - Seattle to Santiago (via Miami), 2 days Santiago, Santiago to Easter Island (!!!!!!!!), 6 days Easter Island, Easter Island to Santiago (1 day) then bus to La Serena for 4 days (penguin spotting) then bus to Illapel to chinchilla reservation in the middle of nowhere .... 10 days ... then to Valpraisso (travel part just realized haven't worked out... whoops! - oh well) 3 days Valpraisso, then back to Santiago. One month: 2 t shirts, 2 pairs underwear, 2 pairs pants (trousers), 1 pair shoes, 1 camera, 1 MP3, 2 reading books, 1 travel guide, 1 phrasebook, 1 pair of earplugs, and 1 pack of murray mints (each). September 2 to October 1.
